below is a detailed description of the movement

- shown are the small movements of the eyes in an attempt to centralise the object of interest
- eyes have passed the relax limit: a large neck movement used to centralise the eyes in their sockets (relaxation) is then commanded and unfortunately causing overshoot
- eyes attempt to correct overshoot, attempt to centralise object
- timer requests relaxation, a smaller neck movement is needed to correct a smaller eye offset and the eyes are now back at central pitch, laterally centred
- since the eyes are pointing upwards the top neck pitch servo is then used to compensate for this (relaxation) as the eyes are centred vertically, the net effect is that the assembly moves forwards, or out of the plane of the paper
